The Zoo, take 3.

We took another trip to the Seneca Park Zoo in Rochester. Last time we were here for Colin's first ever zoo trip, he was 4 months old and my camera battery died, so I couldn't take any pictures. If you remember our second zoo trip to the zoo in NC, we had a nice family day together, but it was too hot and only a few of the animals were out.

Well, third time is a charm, because this zoo trip was awesome! We really have a great little zoo here in Rochester. The weather was perfect, it was not crowded at all, and we saw ALL of the animals. We had fun!

Colin was so excited when he saw the polar bear playing with his ball.

Turn around, the sea lion is swimming right behind you!

I was laughing because my brother said his favorite animal is the Meerkat, and I thought he kind of resembled them.
Chris? Is that you?

Just horsin' around.

My cousin Emily invited us to the stable where she keeps her mini horse, Knight. We got to meet him, along with the other mini horses in the barn. And let me tell you, our little Emily and her sister Haley are work horses, (no pun intended). They help the farmer and clean the stables, feed the horses, and tend to the goats across the street. To top it all off, Emily drives her mini horse in competitions, and has won some ribbons. Amazing!

Colin, Grandma Donna and Aunt Carol with a mini. Colin LOVED the horses. Aunt Carol, maybe you can show him how to ride someday?

Why, hello.

Buddies.

Colin got to visit with Jordan the other night! They were so funny together, and it was fun to see them actually interact and play with eachother. Although, they didn't stay still enough for me to get a good shot of them...so here are some of them in action.

One week ago today...

...was Bridget and Brian's wedding! The day was perfect. The setting was gorgous. The bride was beautiful. The food was delicious.  And we had a fun time with family. It couldn't have been better!

Now, along with our awesome time comes the craziness of pulling myself and a little one together. Combine that with the emotions of Kevin's little sister getting married. Translation: I didn't take any pictures.
Thankfully, the photogropher there was amazing. He was snapping pictures all night. I can't wait to see them!

I am posting some pictures stolen from our family photog, Aunt Carrie. These were taken at the equally-fabulous rehersal dinner.

Thank you Bridget and Brian, for throwing an awesome party. We couldn't be happier for you, and we are so honored that we got to be a part of your special day.

The newlyweds!

Two thumbs up.

Colin saw his first movie today! Toy Story 3 was a hit...he did get a little squirmy at one point, and we had to take a short walk...but for the most part as long as the boy had some snacks, he was all good!

The movie was cute. I even got a little teary at the end. OK, a lot teary. It reminded me of when my mom took me to my first movie, "Follow That Bird". I remember looking over at her, and she was crying because Big Bird was sad when he was kidnapped and trapped in a cage, and turned from yellow to blue. The apple doesn't fall far!

Happy 4th!

We had a fantastic time this 4th of July! Our friends were gracious enough to have a get-together, complete with all the fourth-of-July fare. They are awesome hosts! Then we all headed over to watch the fireworks...it was a great show, and Colin LOVED it.

Ummmm, and can you believe THIS??? I was searching through our pictures, and here is Colin exactly one year ago today!

Beach Babes.

We went to the beach today! What a great way to start off the 4th of July weekend. It's awesome that the NC coast is only 2 hours away from us. We had such a fun time. Colin LOVED it...he totally fit right in to the beachy atmosphere. I think we should go way more often...

The boys, ready to take the beach by storm. (and to get a little color to those Irish complections)

Testing the waters. Colin would laugh every time the waves would crash on us.

He loved playing in the sand.

See how smart he is? He even wrote his name...

Colin loved watching the birds on the pier.

A day at the beach really wiped us all out!
