Sunny Day, Sweepin' the Clouds Away...

Colin went to Sesame Street Live! Of course he loved every minute of it!

This photo is funny because he looks like the only one there! And yes, this time I had the right day, haha. (For those of you who haven't heard the story, I thought it was last Saturday.)

He's ready for the show!
He is just such a good boy.

Sensory overload?

Bye Big Bird!

We did escape buying one of those giant Elmo face ballons...for 10 dollars. Seriously, do you really need a 10 dollar balloon? What a racket. I cringed when I counted five of them waaayyyy up on the ceiling. Actually, Colin didn't even blink an eye at the merchandise, but my mom did get him a penant to hang on his wall, because I got one when I went to Sesame Street Live in 1982!

Coloring Eggs.

This was the first time Colin colored Easter eggs! He was really into it...in fact, he picked out which egg would have which color, and he did them ALL himself. He had fun!

I'm ready!

He picked yellow for his egg.

A green one for Daddy!

He was so proud.

Great job Colin!

Marches To The Beat Of His Own Drum.

My parents and I took Colin to the park the other evening. First, I'd like to say, Yipppeeee! FINALLY some park weather! I think it's safe to say that spring has arrived in Rochester. I hope I didn't just jinx it.

Second, how nice is it that it took us literally two minutes to drive to the playground. We could have walked and that would have taken us about 5 minutes. Hooray for short drive times!...I definitely took this for granted.

But, I digress. Colin of course loved the playground, but when we suggested to him that we should take a walk around the park on the walking path, he said "NOOOO!" Yes people, the No Monster has arrived.

Finally he gave in and tentatively followed us. On his own time. And that trick that parents use to get their kids to follow, when they say, "Bye (Colin), see ya later!" does NOT work.

Then came the funny part. There was a group of kids playing in the field. A couple of them were tossing around a frisbee, and a couple of them were doing cartwheels and summersaults. Colin marched right up to them, and showed them his stuff. He did the move he proudly calls "upsidedown Colin". We could not stop laughing.

Do you spot him, on the right, in the orange and blue striped shirt?
Here he goes...
The best part about this picture is how the kids are looking over at him.

All Aboard!

Colin saw the Easter Bunny at the mall today, and also got to ride the train. I didn't get any actual pictures of Colin and the Easter Bunny, because he only got as far as walking up to him and giving him five. Maybe next time!

Buzy Bees.

Colin and I have been pretty busy! It's so nice being able to visit with family and friends, and do some fun stuff! We've conqured two of the usual fun destinations so far:  Chuck E Cheese, and The Strong Museum of Play.
First up, our visit with Chuck E...
