SO, how do I describe our two-year-old Colin?
For starters, he is pure joy. He really is! He makes us laugh, and has the best little personality. He is so fun to be around, and it's awesome to see him change and grow everyday. He always has a sparkle in his eye, and keeps us on our toes, that's for sure. When you look at him you can tell the wheels are turning. He is a very busy boy...loves exploring the world around him: whether it be a bug crawling on the ground, an airplane flying overhead, or the distant sound of a fire engine siren...he is interested. Being outside is a must!
What a gabber. I don't think he ever stops talking. Or asking questions. Or repeating everything he hears. Or singing. He loves music, and real music too, not just kid music! I think some of his favorite times have been with drum sticks in hand, dancing around with the music blasting.
He loves his family and friends, and truly enjoys being around the people who love him. He just fits right in! And when he's not with them, he talks about them! He is such a friendly boy, and wants so badly to start up a conversation with someone at the grocery store or to jump in and play with the other kids he sees.
I think we have a sports fanatic on our hands. And an athlete, for that matter. Hockey has been the front-runner, and he talks about the days where he will get his own skates and helmet, and will go on the ice that's "vewwry cold and vewwry swippery".
He is such a good boy, and for the most part a great listener. And sincere! When he says "thank you", he really means it. He has the best laugh, and gives the best hugs. He loves learning. He loves to help. What a memory this kid has too...it's amazing the things that he recalls.
Some Colin "stats":
Has all teeth except two year molars.
Takes one nap a day in the afternoon, and sleeps at night from around 9pm- around 8am.
About 30 pounds...his two year checkup is next week.
Likes and eats most foods, and is quite the snacker.
No more Binky.
Likes Sesame Street, Dora, and Thomas.
Just made the switch to a big boy bed...so far so good!
Happy 2nd Birthday, Colin Patrick!
