Our dog Lucy. She REALLY gets on my nerves sometimes. She's the type of dog that is in everybody's business. You could say she is nosy. Any sound she hears or smell in the air will make her investigate. She loves Kevin to the point of obsession. If he leaves her sight, she paces and whines until he is back in view, and she follows him everywhere. Enjoyable walks on a leash are out of the question. She pulls and sniffs the ground like a hound on a trail. Our shiny wood floors are scratched up because of her. She will bark at the same neighborhood dog that passes by our house, even if she has seen it a zillion times. She gets overly excited with visitors. She has selective hearing. Sometimes she will come when called, but if she has something more important going on, forget it.
But...on the other hand...she really is a good dog. She's a pretty and sweet girl. She has adjusted well to the changes that have gone on around her in the past few months. Even though she is a dog, I do give her credit for this. She has a zest for life and enjoys playing and learning. She was the easiest puppy to train, picking up commands fast, and is a fairly good listener. I feel safe knowing that she is around. When Kevin is gone she definitely keeps me company. Licking is her way of showing affection, and even though it is kind of gross, we know it is her way of telling us that she loves us. When I see that little stump of a tail wagging, I know she is happy...and it does make my day a little brighter. I guess she really isn't so bad after all.

oh is she going to be jealous when the baby comes!! The good thing is, she is a dog and they tend to get over it more quickly than little people! Praying the baby comes early!
